A trip to Paris should always be accompanied by a visit at the world famous Moulin Rouge, the symbol of the Parisian way of celebrating.

Since 1889, Moulin Rouge has been offering its visitors a unique party extravaganza, with extraordinary dancing performances and magnificent shows.  Starting as a popular cabaret and dance hall, it soon became an iconic music hall in the Roaring Twenties, and then a theater, with performances from  numerous famous French and international artistes such as Mistinguett and Edith Piaf.

Today, the Moulin Rouge and its 60 artistes present the Féerie revue show: two hours of amazement between cabaret and music hall styles where dance scenes and surprise acts intersperse. The show takes us from the sleepy garden of the Moulin Rouge to the decks of a pirate ship in Indonesia, then back to town with a travelling circus, before dipping into nostalgia with a portrait of Paris through the ages… and not forgetting the Moulin Rouge’s most emblematic dance, the French Cancan!

Every evening, a fantasy world bursts onto the stage: 1000 costumes shimmering with feathers, rhinestones and sequins, sensational performances, sumptuous sets and original French music.

The Moulin Rouge offers its guests a Dinner-and-Show experience, starting with a sophisticated dinner to be savoured against the melodic backdrop of live tunes played by the musicians (dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. followed by the show at 9:00 p.m. every evening), or a Show evening sparkling with champagne bubbles (9:00 or 11:00 p.m. every night).

Composed by Chef David Le Quellec, the restaurant menu boasts a new take on traditional French dishes changing with the seasons, cooked using local produce and lovingly prepared in the kitchens of the Moulin Rouge.

Over the ages, artists from all walks of life have been inspired by the Moulin Rouge, including painters, singers, writers, fashion designers, costume designers, choreographers, film and stage directors, and many others. Renowned artist Toulouse-Lautrec painted his muse there, the famous French Cancan dancer ‘La Goulue’. Young designer Gesmar dressed the Queen of Music Hall ‘Mistinguett’ in his extravagant costumes. Film director Baz Luhrmann got his inspiration from the venue for his film ‘Moulin Rouge!’…

The theatre and restaurant also pay tribute to the stories of the Moulin Rouge throughout the ages with an authentic décor born of varied sources of inspiration and created by architect Henri Mahé, where music hall posters from the Twenties and posters from more contemporary variety shows sit side by side with fun-fair and circus decorations from the Belle Époque.

Moulin Rouge invites us to experience Paris’ glamorous nightlife and share all the emotions and enthusiasm of the most spectacular show in the world!
