<transcy>Skin care guide for women over 40</transcy>

From the age of 40 onwards something changes in the skin.
Notice that the skin no longer shines as it shone and looks longer
dull and dry. Most of the time around 40 appear and
first wrinkles sometimes even dark spots and then we realize that the
time for a more intensive and extra steps morning beauty routine
and our evening care.

Lines, dryness, sunspots and loss
Stiffness is all the problems that women start to have
face in their 40s and this is why
Decreased estrogen levels directly affect collagen production, skin thickness and hydration, so it is important to develop an anti-aging skin care program and follow this program faithfully during this decade.

With so many anti-aging products on the market it can be difficult to figure out where to start and exactly how to create the best skin care routine for you. Top dermatologists recommend sunscreen as the most important and topical product to maintain the skin at the age of forty and something, wonderful! Of course all other products such as the right cleanser, serum, moisturizer and exfoliator are important steps to maintain our beauty.
Below you will find a quick guide to what you will need when it comes to choosing the right ingredients for your face because at age 40 prevention - not just correction - should still be your goal.
# 1. Sunscreen
It should definitely have a protection index of SPF 30 or higher and you should wear it daily before makeup. Do not forget the area of your ears and neck. If you drive, be sure to protect your hands as well, as UVA rays can pass through the glass, causing sun spots on your skin.
# 2. Cleanser
At 40 dermatologists recommend the use of a cleanser that contains ceramides and vitamin E. Ceramides are lipids that help retain moisture while vitamin E nourishes the skin. Before cleaning, wash your hands thoroughly by applying it in a circular motion on your face and neck and rinse with lukewarm water.

# 3. Anti-aging serum
You will need two anti-aging products, a morning serum containing hyaluronic acid and moisture-binding antioxidants and a night serum containing peptides and retinol. Retinol should be applied at night as it can make your skin sensitive to the sun. Make sure you apply the serum under the moisturizer. Antioxidants such as vitamins C, E, B5 stick to free radicals preventing them from damaging healthy skin cells while retinoids and peptides stimulate collagen and soften lines.

# 4. Moisturizing - Anti-aging cream
To treat dry skin, experts recommend looking for ingredients that help boost and retain moisture, including natural oils, ceramides, spinach and hyaluronic acid. To be more effective, apply the cream after the anti-aging serum. Apply to your cheeks, forehead, chin and nose and then massage in a circular upward motion both in the morning and at night with the corresponding night cream.
# 5. Peeling
Fruit acids in exfoliators help remove layers of dead skin cells and help regenerate cells, clean pores and reduce melanin. Look for words like glycolic, lactic or salicylic acid on the label. Apply a small amount two to three times a week, be careful not to overdo it, excessive exfoliation can deprive the skin of the fatty acids that protect the skin barrier.
# 6. Neck care products
Look for targeted products for the neck area with ingredients such as tetrapeptides to promote collagen formation, antioxidant algae extract to protect against free radicals, glucosamine to stimulate hyaluronic acid and hydration and reduce wrinkles, omega-3s to add moisture.
Apply morning and night until the product is evenly distributed and absorbed. Creams that are ideal for the neck tend to be thicker than traditional moisturizers so allow more time for them to be absorbed and then apply your sunscreen.
# 7. Eye cream
Look for ingredients like caffeine to reduce bloating and dark circles, hyaluronic acid, arginine, growth factors and retinol to fill in fine lines and boost collagen production. Apply a pea-sized amount twice a day morning and evening and massage from the inner corner of the eye to the goose foot.
And remember what we said at the age of 40 prevention, not just correction, should still be your goal.
